WE ARE HIRING: Cloud Engineer
The Role
We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our growing team in Zagreb. This is a hands-on role where you'll work across the full spectrum of cloud infrastructure, from networking and security to data pipelines and AI services - all on Google Cloud Platform.

What You'll Do
Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
- Build, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure on GCP (Cloud Run, networking, DNS, storage).
- Work with Docker to build and deploy image-based applications across our platform.
- Apply core networking concepts (IP,subnetworks, GCP VPC) to design reliable systems.
- Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including managing reusable Terraform modules.
- Scale production systems to handle big data workloads reliably.
Platform & Package Management
- Manage and maintain our cloud platform environments, ensuring stability and consistency.
- Maintain Python packages, dependencies, and virtual environments across projects.
- Manage dbt (data build tool) projects, models, and transformations for analytics workflows.
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GCP Cloud Build and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Write Python scripts and automation tools to streamline operations.
Data & AI Platform
- Work with BigQuery, AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, and Firebase for data storage and analytics.
- Support ML workflows using Kubeflow Pipelines, Vertex AI.
- Gain hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Gemini LLM in production
- Implement web scraping and vector/semantic search solutions.
- Manage GCP Workflows, Cloud Scheduler, and event-driven architectures (pub/sub).
Security & Administration
- Manage GCP IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls.
- Handle Bitbucket administration, repository management, and permissions.
- Work with GCS, Cloud Storage, and understand S3/storage principles.
- Google workspace Identity users managment - EntraID sync
Monitoring, Support & Collaboration
- Use GCP Logging and monitoring tools to debug issues and maintain system health.
- Provide user support, and respond to business requests.
- Collaborate across multiple teams in an Agile environment (standups, sprints, retrospectives).
- Write clear documentation in Confluence and manage work through Jira.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related technical role.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTPS, IP, protocols).
- Experience with Docker and building container images for deployment.
- Proficiency in Python (scripting, automation, FastAPI, package management).
- Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or similar).
- Familiarity with dbt or willingness to learn data transformation tooling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Comfortable using VS Code as your daily development environment.
Nice to Have
- Linux administration knowledge as a solid foundation for Docker and container workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Build, GKE, IAM, BigQuery, GCS).
- Experience with Vertex AI, Kubeflow,or ML model training pipelines.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks and Gemini.
- Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search.
- Experience with web scraping tools and techniques.
- Exposure to Firebase, AlloyDB, or Pub/Sub.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent.
